A 365 Day Global Prayer Journey - January 27 (Day 27)

I'm already blessed by our time in Asia. The Silk Road videos open up Asia in a new light to me, and I love knowing that God is already at work tearing down strongholds and building His kingdom throughout Asia. Today we begin praying over some very specific strongholds. Please read pages 61-62, "Hot Spots of Asia", then return here for our prayer time.

Wow - those are some big needs! We can certainly see Satan doing everything he can to hold onto the ground he's gained in Asia. Jesus said Satan was a murderer from the beginning and consistently lies, so it's no wonder that war and deception are his methods. But hallelujah that "greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world"! Let's take these big needs to God now. I want to encourage you if you are working among any of these areas mentioned today please comment and let us know more specifically how we can pray for the people you serve - and for YOU!

My prayer for today: Lord, wherever You are at work the enemy is going to try to stop the advance of the church. Thank You for promising that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church as she moves forward to advance Your kingdom. Lord, the enemy is working overtime in Asia right now. We submit all of these "hot spots" to Your omnipotent power and authority. Lord, the conflict in Israel seems so overwhelming - it IS overwhelming - but we know that You ask us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. We pray Lord for all parties involved to have wisdom and willingness to work together for the good of the people, not for politically expedient answers. Lord for China we ask You to raise up godly lealders who can help China's role in the world be a positive influence and lead the Chinese people in a way that facilitates the spread of the Gospel. Lord the Kashmir dispute has defined entire people groups' identity and other struggles in that region have the potential to ignite as well. Please bring peace and wisdom. We pray for Thailand and Indonesia to have stronger governments that can clearly deal with the internal conflicts that are threatening. Lord the Shi'a-Sunni conflict is often lost in the shuffle of the conflict of Islam with Christianity, but more Muslim lives are lost to this internal difference than to any conflict with the west. Please guide Muslim leaders to find a place of peace and not conflict. Use these differences to cause Muslims to seek You sincerely with their whole hearts and find the truth of who You are. We pray against the trafficking and lawlessness in Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Yunnan - we pray for You to be a voice for the voiceless there. We pray for the Koreas as there is this transition to a new leader - we pray for wisdom in South Korea to know how to respond and prepare for eventual reunification. Lord we lift up Afghanistan. Please led this country enter a season of peace. Hear their prayers and cries to You Lord. God as I write this Yemen is in the midst of massive changes. We pray against the evil elements that are trying to insert themselves into the power void. We ask You for Yemen to experience true freedom and that a leader would be in place that would allow the church in Yemen to practice its faith openly. Lord, none of this is too big for You. Thank You for Your grace and Your glory in Asia. In Jesus' name, amen.
