Prayer for Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda: A 365 Day Global Prayer Journey - February 17 (Day 48)

Today's prayer focus is short but heartfelt. May we be reminded on days like this, with three tiny islands that we don't hear that much about in the news, that God is always at work and that He is omnipresent. The profound needs of Angola from the previous two days don't make Him less likely to reach down and breathe His Holy Spirit across these islands. Let's pray for that to happen today. Please read pages 107-109, Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda.

My prayer for today: Lord, we praise You that You are omnipresent and omniscient. You are everywhere and you see everything. Truly You are El Roi, the God who sees, and we ask You to turn Your gaze toward these tiny islands today. We pray for Anguilla, that their religious traditions would be infused with dynamic life by Your Holy Spirit. We pray for spiritual strength in the midst of change. We pray for true unity among Your followers on this island. Lord we lift up Antigua & Barbuda to You. We pray for revival that results in prayer and Spirit-led engagement in society. We pray against the strongholds of greed and violence and deceit. We pray for true justice, for righteous authorities who will confront these structures of sin; and for wisdom and discernment for the government in dealing with these issues. We pray for unity among the churches and for the success of the Christian radio stations. We pray they will be able to stay on the air and be a positive influence for their culture. In Jesus' name, amen.
