Prayer for Gabon: A 365 Day Global Prayer Journey - May 27 (Day 148)

One of Africa's wealthiest countries materially, today we will learn that Gabon has an encroaching spiritual poverty as well as a huge gap materially between the wealthiest and the poorest. Please read pages 350-352.

My prayer for today: Lord, You have seen what's been going on in Gabon. You know the growing influence of Islam, the inequities in wealth, the stripping away of resources. You also see the Church - You hold it in Your hand - and You have been working. We thank You  for the maturing church, the serious prayer, and the openness of those in the interior. Thank You for the church planting movement among the Baka natives. We pray for Your righteousness to prevail against the selfishness, exploitation, and trafficking. We pray for the church to be pure and reject the spiritist clubs and societies. We pray for the church to recognize the crucial opportunity and responsibility to reach out to Muslims and begin doing so intentionally and wisely. Lord, we pray for the purity of the Gospel, for sound teaching, and for strong leaders. Have Your way in Gabon. In Jesus' name, amen.
