Today we continue praying for Israel. Please review pages 477-481.
My prayer for today: Oh Lord, we are grateful for the work You are doing within Israel and globally to increase interest in the Gospel among Jews. we thank You, Lord, for the Messianic congregations within Israel that are now allowed to register in some cases, and we pray for more rights for Messianic believers. We pray for all those who follow You as Messiah to love and reach out to Jews in the name of Jesus, and we ask that You drop the blinders from their eyes so that they can see their Messiah has come. Lord, we pray for spiritual restoration as they genuinely seek You. Watch over this land with its ongoing conflicts. Lord, give the leadership wisdom to know how to address threats from within and without. We pray for the non-Jews within Israel's borders, particularly the Palestinians. Lord, give wisdom to the government to treat them with justice and righteousness even as they seek to be wise and protect their people. We pray for the thousands of Arab Christians who are caught between two worlds, not really fitting in with either the Jewish Israelis or the Muslim Palestinians. We pray for You to continue to maintain their witness, strengthen what remains Lord for Your glory and grace. Lord, we know how things will turn out in Israel, but our heart is for all those who are living there today - Jews & Arab alike - to experience Your saving grace and the peace that only You can bring. In Jesus' name, amen.
Encouraging the body of Christ to share the treasure of the Gospel through the power of God. "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us." 2 Corinthians 4:7

Praying for Israel: A 365 Day Global Prayer Journey - July 20
"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem", the psalmist exhorts us in one of the very specific prayer commands in Scripture. And Jerusalem certainly needs our prayers, as does all of Israel - a nation created for God's glory, dispersed throughout the world for centuries, and now regathered in their ancient land. Everyone, it seems, wants a piece of Israel for their own purposes whether political or theological.
Today, as we pray for Israel let's certainly pray for the political conflict, but let's raise our eyes beyond the end-times theological questions but instead, let's pray for Israel to know true peace through their Messiah. Please read pages 477-481, and then watch this video and join me in prayer today.
