Today we continue prayers for Australia. Please review pages 117-123 then return here for prayer. We'll cover points 6-9 and the highlighted islands.
My prayer for today: Lord, we are so thankful that You convicted Australia and prompted them to apologize for treatment of aborigines. Guide them in addressing the issues that remain. Thank You for the positive impact of missionaries and the Christian presence among the aborigines. We pray for their spiritual growth - impart an outpouring of Your Spirit to truly make disciples of them. Provide Your word in their languages - we thank You for the work in Kriol. We pray for oral recordings where there is lower literacy levels. We lift up the college students to You and ask for a great harvest. Lord, for the islands of Christmas, Cocos, and Norfolk -- we pray for protection from natural disasters. We pray You would work among the existing churches and give wisdom in reaching out to others on the island. We pray they will begin to truly feel part of the wider Australian church. Thank You Lord the Your kingdom is coming in Australia. Let Your will be done there, on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus' name, Amen.
